Four 160 watt Kyocera solar panels in action, March 10, 2007 in southern Wisconsin. 11.5 hours of sunlight generated 4 kW’s of electricity…way enough to power the fridge, a dozen flourescent bulbs, the circulating pump for the radiant heat, the well pump and tv/radio for hours. ENERGY STAR Recycle My Old Fridge. The Time is Right!

How OLD is the stuff in YOUR fridge? How old is YOUR FRIDGE? We checked ours, and found lots of mysterious stuff: salsa from 2005, a petrified apple, oozing celery, outdated salad dressing, ice cream covered over with freezer burn, and other forgotten foods. We also checked the fridge … a 1992 model that is costing 5 a year to operate. It’s time to recycle the old fridge and replace it with a new ENERGY STAR model!
