I love the mane and tail too. My hair stylist used this years ago when I was a teenager. I use Megatek too (conditioner) I really love the Olive Oil replenishing Conditioner. I have it on my hair right now. I always leave my conditioner in my hair over night. I work from home which is a plus.

To take the place of shampoo you can use soaps like hemp , goat milk, tea tree they are all natural and cost less then $2.00. I love mane and tail it has made my hair so thick and soft.

I get it at the beauty supply store, walgreens or the grocery store. I’m using it as a leave-in now.

I purchased mine from Sally’s or you can go to any black beauty supply store. It’s a shampoo and conditioner. They even have a deep conditioner too. This product has been out for years.

Mane n Tail is a product line that was once used on horses (true story). Don’t worry it’s safe for people to use. The company has been around for years. They make shampoo, conditioner, detangler and a host of other things. I get mine at the Grocery Store. This week I saw it at sally’s beauty supply. The conditioner I use is the original formula and doesn’t contain silicones.

Giovanni Shampoo doesn’t have any sulfates in it. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is a detergent soap found in most shampoos. It can be really drying to the hair. The Giovanni Line has several different sulfate free shampoos and the Direct Leave-in is also good. I get mine at Walmart, Target or The health food/vitamin store. Also, Suave Coconut conditioner is good for co-washing. Conditioner can remove light to med buildup because of the rinsing agents in it.
