    Good looking panel setup, that combiner box looks familiar! Works good right? Lights and small appliances like TV’s and fans are the easiest to power and a great way to start. You can always add more panels and batteries to run more stuff. Great set up man.

    yes, i liked that controller but i am going to add more panels an more amps then that one can handle.i found a place where i can buy 60 watt panels for 220 dollars at 3.86 amps. i am going to buy 3 or 4 of them.the controller i bought is a hole lot better it want over charge. thanks for the comment.hope that helps

    Nice setup man. the reason that guy told you to move you inverter out of there is cause the batteries produce hydrogen while they are charging and the inverter could be a source of ignition for it causing an explosion. but since you vented your cabinet shouldn’t be a problem especially if you got a small fan pushing the gas out.

    Good set up, I’ve also started with the harbor freight kit. And have now upgraded the charge controller and added more panels. Check out my video. I will also have an update on the added panels soon. Hi from sunny FL

    I believe , this is the beginning of big push, toward solar power. so , you guys that are doing it already , try to make videos for real starters, people that know nothing about solar power and yet want to learn and get it going, like my self, thinking about pool pump to start, and than water well ,
    Thanks for posting videos

    Pm me your email and I will email you picstures, sound got deleted off video so I removed it today, I will try to make another video soon…

    I have the non lcd type and wanted one of those, have about 450 watts total, 3 different type of panels, or brands, so I would wire all teh same type to my 24v bank, the other ones to my other small 12v bank and the other left over ones charge my car batteries…

    Nice setup

    Lamar, your panels….maybe will generate 6 a/h. A CFL light bulb will draw 15 a/h. You will kill your battery bank very quickly with your set up because the sun will never be able to charge your batteries for that one light bulb…let alone everything youre running. But by now youve already found that out.

    @bpd894
    no way a cfl draws 15 a/h.
