i would prep all the fruits and veggies before turning the juicer on so you dont waste so much energy.

Good call – I’ll have to start doing that. Thanks for the tip.

The juicer just spits out the peel of the lemon and lime – it just extracts the juice so you don’t get that bitter rind flavor in the drink. If you wanted to you could peel the lemon and lime first, but I don’t think you need to.

Apple seeds actually contain vitamin B-17 and are good for you in limited amounts. I think you’re thinking that apple seeds have trace amounts of cyanide in them, which is true. However, trace amounts aren’t going to hurt you. Just don’t eat a cup full of just apple seeds and you’ll find they’re good for you, not bad for you.

Yeah, I do rinse the food under water before throwing it in the juicer. The greens especially, since they tend to have a fair amount of dirt within the leaves.

lemon skin has an oil that the humain body can not digest as does orange. so good idea but take the skin out.

Alright, it’s a funny remark, but it seems cathartic, just stuffing and clubbing those vegies and fruits down into the hungry juicer’s jaws.

yea thats good but the oil is in the skin not outside it…

what type of juicer do you have? i see another one on the counter. If it is another juicer, why did you use that bigger one?

I have a juicer, but it is slow. I’m going to try this recipe though. I was looking for a good-tasting “green” juice. I’m just beginning to juice.

small amounts of cyanide are found in apple seeds. it’d take a lot of ingested seeds to become toxic, but it can occur. look it up.

  18. #18 by gravtex at July 7th, 2009

you’re correct. i probably wouldn’t sit down and eat a bowl of apple seeds with my meals, but a few apple seeds aren’t going to hurt you – they’re actually good for you in small amounts. (not sure what i said in the video, recorded that a long time ago)

nice video , my juicer looks like yours they are excellent and easy to clean .

  24. #24 by enialadam at October 11th, 2009

The juicer takes fibre away from the fruit and leaves you with…the juice…therefore it is unlikely that you will be eating the seeds and they would end up in the waste box!
